The Académie Desprez's main purpose is
to get Drottningholms Slottsteater better known in France as it
is the only well preserved theater from the mid-XVIIIth century
still performing actively.
By taking Desprez's career and various
works as its program, the Academy claims to being an area for
French and Swedish music lovers, artists, historians and amateurs
to meet and exchange.
 That considered, both trends exist side
by side: on the one hand, is the historical element, supporting
researchers and historians and by organising visits and events ;
on the other hand, on the production level, by helping artists
and theater performers and craftspeople.
In adition to study and work programmes, propositions
are made, aiming to form international
relationships with Drottningholms Slottsteater.
